GREDO provides basic primary health care including reproductive, community and communicable health services. With Health Education Sessions, Community level sensitization and Social Mobilization.

Organizational Objectives:

  1. To contribute towards increasing availability, access to and utilization of cost-effective, quality and gender-sensitive nutrition, WASH and health services, particularly for women, children, and other vulnerable groups in South central Somalia.
  2. To contribute towards improving availability, accessibility and utilization of equitable quality basic education services to communities in South central Somalia.

GREDO’s Food Security, Livelihoods (FSL), and Resilience department is to support communities affected by multiple crises in Somalia, such as
famine, political instability, recurrent droughts, and flooding, by:

Organizational Objectives:

  1. Enhancing Livelihoods: Offering livelihood interventions, such as supporting farmer cooperatives, providing gardening inputs to
    Infant and Young Child Feeding groups, and issuing business grants to help communities rebuild their economic stability.
  2. Building Resilience: Strengthening the capacity of crisis-affected communities through training on gender equality, conflict management, accountable leadership, and other crucial topics to equip them with the knowledge to better withstand future shocks.

GREDO is committed to improving livelihoods for vulnerable communities across Somalia by implementing targeted interventions that promote economic resilience and food security. Through initiatives such as vocational training, cash assistance, and support for small-scale farming, GREDO helps families rebuild their livelihoods and break the cycle of poverty. The organization also provides agricultural inputs, tools, and training for farmers, enabling them to boost food
production and adapt to climate-related challenges.
